Mike Loomis
Owner/ General Contractor/ Landscape Designer
Born and raised in Connecticut, Mike grew up enjoying the outdoors and was schooled in northern design and construction practices. After working in the landscape and hardscape fields during college, Mike decided to move to Florida in 2001 to pursue outdoor living design and build year- round. For the next seven years, Mike worked for several design/ build and architecture firms including Heidt and Associates as a designer and project manager. In early 2008, he went into business for himself and developed Loomis Consulting, serving many design and build firms as a contracted designer and project manager. After developing a name for himself, Mike branched out and created Landscape Fusion in 2010 as a full outdoor living design and build firm and constructed the prototype design/build showroom with retail center on Gandy Blvd in 2011. After several years of growth and development, Mike purchased Landscape Fusion’s current location on S. Dale Mabry in 2014, and has since constructed a modern design and build showroom with outdoor living furnishings retail that opened in Fall 2017.
Marija Kuzmic
Marija is originally from Northern Illinois where she grew up with a love of everything outdoors. After spending too many winters up north, she moved to the sunshine state for college and graduated from The University of Tampa with a B.A in History. After college Marija worked in administration. She has been with Landscape Fusion since they opened in Spring 2012. In her spare time, you will find Marija doting on her two fur babies Roxie & Gypsy, gardening, whipping up culinary treats or with her nose in a good book!
Rick Manning
Ya hey ‘der. Born and raised in SW Wisconsin, Rick had dreams outside of hunting, fishing, and playing on the family farm. With a letter of acceptance in his hand he left his one stop light homestead for the big city lights and received his degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
After spending more years than he can imagine managing his own landscape design business & revitalizing outdoor spaces throughout the windy City of Chicago, he made the wise decision to give up snow in his boots for sand between his toes. With a leap of faith and his two beautiful girls out of the house pursuing their own directions in life, he looked for new challenges with his loving partner Elizabeth in sunny St. Pete, Florida.
Rick brings to Landscape Fusion his life journey of experiences and his passion & creativity for transforming outdoor living spaces into intimate rooms that create unforgettable experiences & shared memories.
When Rick isn’t creating environments that bring families together, he is spending time with his own family strolling the beach, attending fine art shows, enjoying local concerts& sporting events, or traveling to visit the City of Lights.
Rick’s philosophy…everything is better with cheddar…Go Badgers! Go Bolts!
Erik Portuondo
Erik has had an extensive career in construction estimating and management that has spanned 20+ years. Most of that time has been spent in the Landscape and Site Development Industries. Erik brings to us a strong understanding of budget requirements and project costs along with a strong business sense gained through his experience as a Construction Division Manager and from knowledge acquired through his BS In Business Management. From the concept phase, through Budgeting and installation, his interest and dedication to this industry provides a long-term commitment to the ongoing success of your landscape.
We’ve also heard he’s one a hell of a cook.
Bob
Bob grew up on Long Island in New York, spending most of his time training for powerlifting competitions and building furniture when he wasn't stuck behind a desk at work. In 2017, he moved to South Dakota to be around family and start his career in construction, leaving the desk behind. After moving to Florida a few years later, Bob transitioned into construction management, running a 3 man crew remodeling bathrooms, and later as a lead maintenence technician for a group of restuaraunts. Outside of work, you can now find Bob hiking with his dog or fine tuning his landscaping.
